Terms of service
Two things at once: the terms this website is published under, and the terms a repair is carried out under once you book one.
1. Who you are dealing with
This site is published by Oceanfront Range Service, a mobile appliance repair business operating in Jacksonville Beach, Florida and the neighbouring beach communities. There is no walk-in premises, so no street address is published.
2. Independence and trademarks
Oceanfront Range Service is an independent appliance repair company. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Wolf or its parent company. All brand names and model numbers are the property of their respective owners and are used only to identify the appliances we service.
Wolf and every model designation referred to on this site are the trademarks of their owners. They appear here for one purpose only: to identify accurately which appliances we are able to repair. No manufacturer logo, brand typeface or brand colour scheme is used anywhere on this site, and nothing here should be read as a manufacturer's endorsement of this business.
3. What the site is, and is not
The repair pages, street pages and salt notes describe failure patterns we see in this area. They are written to help you decide whether a visit is worth your money — they are not repair instructions, and they are not a substitute for a diagnosis of your appliance.
Gas appliances and mains-voltage controls are dangerous to work on without training. If you smell gas, shut the supply off at the valve and leave the building before calling anyone. Nothing on this site is an invitation to open a sealed burner assembly, a control housing or a gas connection yourself, and we accept no responsibility for work you carry out on your own appliance.
4. Booking, fees and estimates
Flat $129 diagnostic, credited toward the repair when you approve the work. It is charged per appliance and covers travel within the posted service area. You get a written estimate before any part is ordered or any labor begins. Nothing is ordered and no billable labor begins until you approve that estimate. Decline it and the diagnostic is all that is owed.
If the diagnosis changes once a part is off — corrosion behind a panel is the usual reason out here — the estimate is reissued and re-approved before the work continues.
5. Scope of work
We service Wolf cooking appliances only. We do not repair other manufacturers' equipment, and we do not carry out installation, cabinetry, plumbing or electrical work behind the appliance. Where a fault is caused by the installation rather than the appliance — an out-of-tolerance cabinet opening, an absent dedicated circuit, starved make-up air — we will identify it and tell you which trade it belongs to.
6. Access and the site of the work
An adult must be present for the appointment, and the appliance must be reachable: pulling a built-in unit forward requires the run in front of it to be clear. Where a fitted appliance cannot be withdrawn without disturbing cabinetry, flooring or countertop, we will stop and tell you rather than force it, and any resulting cabinetry work is not ours.
7. Parts
Genuine OEM parts only. Parts we remove and replace become ours to dispose of unless you ask for them back at the time of the repair. We do not fit parts supplied by the customer, because we cannot warrant a component whose source we cannot verify.
8. Warranty
90 days on labor and 365 days on parts, both running from the date of the repair, on the work we carried out and the parts we fitted. The full terms, including what falls outside them, are set out on the warranty page and form part of these terms.
This warranty is given by us alone. It is separate from any remaining manufacturer coverage on your appliance, which we neither administer nor can make claims against on your behalf.
9. Limits
Our liability for a repair is limited to putting right the work we did, on the terms above. We are not liable for spoiled food, consequential loss, or damage arising from continued use of an appliance after we have advised against it. An appliance that has been worked on by someone else after our visit is outside our warranty entirely.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Florida, and any dispute arising from work carried out under them belongs to the courts of Duval County, Florida.
11. Changes
These terms may be revised. The version that applies to your repair is the one published on the day you approved the estimate, and the date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed.
