Terms and process
How a visit actually works
No dispatch fee stacked on a trip charge stacked on a labor minimum. One diagnostic fee, one written estimate, one number to approve.
- 01
You call and describe the fault
Have the model number from the rating plate if you can reach it. Tell us what the appliance is doing, not what you think is broken. Some faults we can rule out on the phone, and we will say so rather than book a visit.
- 02
We diagnose on site for a flat fee
$80, the same figure whatever the appliance and however long the diagnosis takes. It is credited toward the repair when you approve the work.
- 03
You get the number in writing
You get a written estimate before any part is ordered or any labor begins. Parts, labor and the return trip are itemised. Nothing is ordered until you say yes.
- 04
We fit genuine parts
Genuine OEM parts only. Aftermarket burner caps and blower wheels are cheaper and they fail sooner in salt air, so we do not fit them.
- 05
The work is warranted
90 days on labor and 365 days on parts from the date of the repair. If the same fault comes back inside that window, the return visit is on us.

What we do not do
- We service Wolf cooking appliances and nothing else. If you have another brand in the same kitchen, we are not the right call for it.
- Wolf cooking equipment in the kitchen. Not heating, not air conditioning, not the ducting for the house. Heating and cooling the building is an HVAC contractor's trade, and the only ductwork we open is the run behind a kitchen ventilation hood, because that duct is part of the appliance.
- We book appointments during posted hours. We do not advertise 24/7 or emergency service, because we do not run it.
- If a repair is not economic against the value of the appliance, we will tell you that instead of selling you the parts.
EPA Section 608 certified technicians
Federal refrigerant-handling certification, genuinely held.
Independent, owner-operated
No franchise, no call center, no dispatch layer between you and the technician.
Genuine OEM parts
Ordered from OEM parts distributors, never aftermarket substitutes.
Money, before you book
What is the estimate likely to say?
Whatever the diagnosis turns out to be, the repair lands in one of these bands. The estimate names the part, the labor and the return trip, and it is written before anything is ordered.
| What gets replaced or put right | Usual range |
|---|---|
| Igniter or spark module replacement | $210–$550 |
| Burner valve or orifice service | $210–$710 |
| Oven thermostat or temperature sensor | $180–$520 |
| Convection fan or motor | $250–$680 |
| Diagnostic visit, credited to the repair | $80 |
Flat $80 diagnostic covering the visit and the full diagnostic sequence, credited toward the repair once you approve the work. A range rather than one number, because the firm figure is written down after the diagnosis and a range is what you can act on before it. The whole band table →
Questions
Asked about the visit
What actually happens between the call and the invoice?
- You describe the symptom and the model, we book inside posted hours, the appliance is diagnosed for a flat $80, and you get a written estimate itemised into parts, labor and the return trip if something has to be ordered. Nothing is ordered and no labor starts until you say go.
What do you refuse to take on?
- Other makes, first installations, appliance sales, cabinetry and electrical work behind the wall. We will name the problem when an opening is out of tolerance or a circuit is missing, because both cause repeat failures, but the work itself belongs to a carpenter or an electrician rather than to us.
