Wolf cooking equipment, repaired where the salt gets to it

We are an independent repair company working one manufacturer and one stretch of coast: Wolf ranges, rangetops, cooktops, wall ovens, steam ovens and ventilation, from the 1st-to-5th Street core out to Ponte Vedra.

$80 flat diagnostic, credited toward the repair · You get a written estimate before any part is ordered or any labor begins. · 90 days on labor, 365 days on parts.

What the air out here actually does

Nothing on this page is a general statement about appliances. It is what we pull apart on this island, in this ZIP code, week after week.

A technician leaning across a stainless pro range, working on a burner with the grates lifted off onto a cloth
Two blocks from the water, this is what the salt gets at first.

Hood blowers and housings

Chloride pits the blower wheel and the galvanised housing behind the baffles. You hear it first as a rattle at high speed, then as a drop in capture over the burners.

Burner grates, caps and igniters

Cast grate feet corrode where they sit in the well. Caps pit at the port ring, so the flame goes yellow and lopsided and the igniter starts clicking after the burner is already lit.

Stainless trim and hinges

Surface rust blooms on trim and handles within a season of moving here. Oven door hinges stiffen and the door stops closing square against the gasket.

Outdoor kitchens

An outdoor grill on an open deck takes everything the ocean has. Burners, valves and igniter leads corrode years faster than the same parts under a roof.

Equipment we work on

One manufacturer only. We do not service other brands, and we will say so on the phone rather than waste your morning.

Where the work stops

We work on the cooking equipment in the kitchen and on nothing else in the building. Furnaces, heat pumps, air handlers, mini-splits, the wall thermostat that runs them, water heaters and pool heaters are not our trade and never have been, and there is no duct crew here: the only ductwork we open is the run behind a kitchen ventilation hood, because that duct is part of the appliance. If the call is about heating or cooling the house, we will say so in the first minute on the phone rather than take the booking.

  • Heating — furnaces, heat pumps, air handlers and the wall thermostat that runs them.
  • Air conditioning — central systems, mini-splits, condensers and their line sets.
  • The ducting for the house. A kitchen hood duct belongs to the hood, and that one we do open.
  • Water heaters and pool heaters.

Where we drive

Four ZIP codes on one barrier island and the strip behind it. Short drives mean the common ignition, hinge and blower parts are already on the van, and a fault we can identify on the phone often gets fixed on the first visit rather than the second.

  • Jacksonville Beach 32250 The numbered-street core, South Jacksonville Beach and Isle of Palms.
  • Atlantic Beach 32233 A separate municipality north of Neptune Beach, with a mature tree canopy over the older grid.
  • Neptune Beach 32266 The narrowest of the three beach towns — a few blocks deep, so there is no inland side.
  • Ponte Vedra Beach 32082 The St. Johns County strip immediately south of the Duval line.

Money, before you book

What does a repair at the beach usually cost?

Four bands cover most of what we are called out for on this island. Each is parts and labor together, quoted in writing once the panel is off.

The bands this page’s faults usually land in, parts and labor together.
What gets replaced or put right Usual range
Igniter or spark module replacement $210–$550
Burner valve or orifice service $210–$710
Oven thermostat or temperature sensor $180–$520
Convection fan or motor $250–$680
Diagnostic visit, credited to the repair $80

Flat $80 diagnostic covering the visit and the full diagnostic sequence, credited toward the repair once you approve the work. A range rather than one number, because the firm figure is written down after the diagnosis and a range is what you can act on before it. The whole band table →

Owner reports

What owners said afterwards

4.4 out of 5 from 79 published reports. Each one is a single visit, in the words of the person who paid for it.

  • Two zones went dark together and came back a minute later, over and over. He checked the supply at the terminal block first, found one leg loose behind the cover, remade it properly and the fault has not returned.

    Seren P.

  • Two knobs had seized solid out on the deck. He stripped and regreased the valve stems rather than replacing the whole manifold, which is what the last company out here had quoted me for.

    Landon F.

  • It kept shutting off and the first visit did not find it. He came back, went further into the boards and found a failing fan. Fixed in the end, but it took two trips and a fortnight to get there.

Questions

Asked before the first visit

Do you work on Wolf appliances other than the range?

Yes, as long as it cooks. Ranges, rangetops, cooktops, wall ovens, convection steam ovens, warming and microwave drawers, ventilation hoods and outdoor grills are all in scope. Refrigeration is not: Wolf does not build it, and an appliance we do not work on is one we will name on the phone rather than at your door.

How far out from the beach do you actually drive?

Four ZIP codes on one barrier island and the strip behind it: Jacksonville Beach, Neptune Beach, Atlantic Beach and Ponte Vedra Beach. Short drives are the reason the common ignition, hinge and blower parts ride on the van, so a fault described accurately on the phone often gets finished on the first visit.

What does the first visit cost, and is it credited?

$80 flat, per appliance, whatever the fault turns out to be and however long it takes to find. Approve the repair and that figure comes off the total. Decline the written estimate and you owe the diagnostic and nothing further, with no trip charge stacked underneath it.
