Call (904) 977-8701. # Neptune Beach, 32266 Wolf cooking repair in Neptune Beach, ZIP 32266: the narrowest of the three beach towns, where every kitchen is in the exposed band and lots are tight. Source: https://wolfrepairjacksonvillebeach.com/streets/neptune-beach/ Updated: 2026-08-14 Place: Neptune Beach ZIP: 32266 · Duval County Exposure: oceanfront — salt aerosol reaches the kitchen. Communities: Neptune Beach Neptune Beach is the smallest of the three beach towns, a narrow strip wedged between Atlantic Beach to the north and Jacksonville Beach to the south. It also has one characteristic that matters more to appliance repair than its size: there is no inland side of it. ## What we take on, and what we hand back Neptune Beach is small enough that we get asked to look at everything once the van is in the driveway, so it is worth writing down where the work stops. We repair the appliance. We do not sell appliances, we do not do first installations, and we do not take on cabinetry, gas piping upstream of the appliance connection, or electrical work behind the wall. Those are a carpenter's, a plumber's and an electrician's trades — and in an older beach house they are frequently the actual fault rather than a side issue: an opening cut tighter than the installation specification, a shared circuit feeding a kitchen that has tripled its load, an oxidised connection in humid coastal air. We measure it, write the numbers on the invoice and tell you who to call. We do not improvise it, because improvising someone else's trade is how a repair becomes a liability. There are also faults where the right answer is the manufacturer rather than us. If the appliance is still inside its own warranty, work by an independent company can complicate that coverage, and we would rather you spent the phone call on their line than on ours. The same is true of anything handled as a programme of the manufacturer's own — a component released only through their channel, or a documented service action on a particular production run. We have no access to those, and we will say so on the phone rather than after you have paid for a diagnostic. What is left is the work we are actually good at: a burner that will not light, a hood that has stopped capturing, an oven that browns on one side, a steam oven that has stopped making steam, and the corrosion sitting behind most of it. ## The salt is not different A city line is a municipal boundary. Wind is not. Neptune Beach fronts the same Atlantic, takes the same onshore chloride, and sits on the same narrow barrier island as the towns either side of it. Everything we say about coastal wear applies here without adjustment: - Hood blower wheels load with grease and salt film, lose a flake, go out of balance, and start rattling at the top speed. - Galvanised hood housings and duct collars bloom rust behind the baffles. - Burner cap port rings pit from the outside in, so the flame runs yellow and lifts before anyone thinks to look at the cap. - Oven door hinge pins stiffen until the door no longer pulls square, and the oven starts browning unevenly on one side. - Stainless trim develops fine brown speckle — contamination on the passive layer, not the steel failing — and it comes off if you deal with it early. The town is only a few blocks deep, so essentially every kitchen here is in the exposed band. There is no inland side of Neptune Beach. ## Housing and access The stock runs from small older beach houses on tight lots to full rebuilds with complete built-in cooking packages, sometimes on the same street. The older kitchens give us the familiar clearance problem — a modern wall oven in an opening that was never dimensioned for it, running hot and taking its control board with it. The newer ones give us make-up air problems, where a tight house starves a high-capacity hood and the hood gets blamed. Lots here are compact and parking is street parking, so if a job involves pulling a built-in, tell us when you book and we will plan the access rather than discovering it. ## When you call Model number and serial off the rating plate, and a description of what the appliance is actually doing rather than what you think is wrong. If it is a steam oven, say so: the water system is a different set of checks and a different set of parts on the van. --- Oceanfront Range Service is an independent appliance repair company.
